Wills has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Hess Mt Olympus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joe Wills's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Wills!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mt Olympus pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mt Olympus looking to score a takedown here. Wills is defending well but Mt Olympus drives through and ends up in Wills's guard.

Wills is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mt Olympus presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Mt Olympus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mt Olympus tries to get out of the position.

Wills wants to stand but Mt Olympus has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Wills is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wills postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mt Olympus is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wills dives into side control.
Mt Olympus tries to improve position but can't.

Mt Olympus manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wills's best efforts.

Mt Olympus holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wills wants to advance to full mount but Mt Olympus doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Mt Olympus has his foot on Wills's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wills works his way back into a safe position though.

Wills with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mt Olympus to score with a decent uppercut.

Mt Olympus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wills is trying to control Mt Olympus 's posture but Mt Olympus avoids it.
Wills has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mt Olympus decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wills to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mt Olympus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wills can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mt Olympus controls the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mt Olympus chips away with some ground and pound.
Mt Olympus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Mt Olympus closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mt Olympus lands in his opponent's guard.
Wills being controlled here, momentarily.

Mt Olympus is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mt Olympus loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mt Olympus is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wills can do to turn this around?

Wills wants to get back to his feet but Mt Olympus is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mt Olympus gets to his feet. Wills looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Mt Olympus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Mt Olympus shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mt Olympus was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mt Olympus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mt Olympus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wills struggling a bit here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee asks Mt Olympus politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mt Olympus prefers to stall for the moment though.

Mt Olympus 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mt Olympus slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Well Mt Olympus has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
