The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillinger darts in looking for a takedown but Taisumov gets double underhooks and turns Dillinger into the cage.
Dillinger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taisumov tries to avoid it but Dillinger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taisumov to the ground. Taisumov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dillinger shoots in for a takedown but Taisumov shows good takedown defense.
As Dillinger backs off Taisumov throws a huge counter combo but Dillinger manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Lewis Dillinger. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dillinger goes for a double leg but Taisumov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Taisumov continues to drive forward.
Taisumov unleashes a big counter combination but Dillinger bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and Taisumov counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dillinger is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taisumov lands a left and a right that send Dillinger crashing to the mat, dazed. Taisumov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Dillinger is rocked!

It looks like Marc Lewis Dillinger has been cut.
Marc Lewis Dillinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dillinger doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Taisumov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dillinger thinking.
Oh Dillinger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Taisumov plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Dillinger to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Dillinger just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
