Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saladin Hussain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho throws a sloppy head kick and Hussain moves out of range easily.
Hussain tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hussain blocks a head kick by Carvalho.
Carvalho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carvalho lands with a kick to the temple. Hussain shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

A little jabbing left from Hussain on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Hussain is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Carvalho connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Hussain misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carvalho gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Carvalho tries to roll over but Hussain keeps him under control.

That was a close round but I would say that Arthur Carvalho will probably get the nod.

Carvalho cracks Hussain with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

In his post fight interview, Arthur Carvalho started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
