Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shovel Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Saint John!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
John should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Knight feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Johns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Saint John has been cut.
Knight cracks John with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Knight circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops John to the canvas! John doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Knight keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shovel Knight!
During a confident post fight interview, Shovel Knight thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
