Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Arthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Echart Tolle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arthur comes to the cage accompanied by Darude - Sandstorm. James Arthur could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Echart Tolle's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Darius Henderson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arthur throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tolle's waist but Tolle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Arthur off to one side.
Tolle lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Tolle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Arthur to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Arthur is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tolle is just riding it out for now. Arthur eventually gives up the hold.

Tolle throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Arthur dives in for a single leg takedown but Tolle sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Tolle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Arthur.

James Arthur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arthur has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tolle clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Arthur has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tolle is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Arthur.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Arthur is looking for a kimura but Tolle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Arthur to get the leverage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A nice inside leg kick there by Tolle. That's going to slow Arthur down.
Tolle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arthur sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tolle somewhat.

Arthur looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tolle is fending him off so far but Arthur persists. Nope, Tolle circles away and we're back to standing.

Arthur takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Tolle throws a right hand that Arthur ducks under and follows up with a left that Arthur also avoids with ease.
Arthur closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tolle quickly recovers to half guard.
Arthur uses his free foot to push down on Tolle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tolle.

Arthur forces the positional change into back control.
Tolle is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Arthur gets his way!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arthur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tolle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Arthur.
I think Arthur has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
