Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Modesto Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Gale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gale throws a shot to the body.
Gale throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Price counters with a head kick.
Gale just misses with a punch to the body.
Gale misses with a head kick.
Max Gale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Price feints and as Gale raises his hands in defense, Price changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Price accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Price really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gale manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Price manages to get himself to full guard.

Gale thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Price has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gale drops back looking for a leg! Price is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Price manages to kick Gale off! Gale jumps back into Price's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gale is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Price rather than just go for the knockout.

A decent looking cross lands there for Gale.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A close round but Max Gale will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Price closes the distance and clinches up with Gale, looking for a takedown. Price pushes Gale against the cage but Gale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Price is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gale can't fight it off and eventually Price manages to take the fight to the floor. Gale looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Price decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Max Gale seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gale leaves Price with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
