Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyoung Aries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yogi Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aries fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bear sprawls well initially but Aries persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Aries passes to side control.

Aries stands up.

Aries gets a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aries jumps guard but Bear stands there with Aries around his waist. Aries gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Aries has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bear uses from the top position.

Aries escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bear gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aries bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bear's guard.

Aries looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Aries frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Aries cracks Bear with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Aries lands with some strikes.
Bear is trying to stand.
Aries controlling the pace for now.
Bear is trying to stand but he's just given Aries his back.
Aries really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bear grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Bear is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Aries.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bear is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Aries is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bear has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
