And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romanov drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romanov is in close to Jordan's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Romanov works over Jordan with some ground and pound from guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Romanov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jordan wants to stand but Romanov is controlling the position.
Jordan is trying to keep Romanov in close.
Romanov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jordan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jordan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Romanov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romanov with a flurry of punches that miss.
Romanov throws an elbow that misses. Jordan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Romanov's guard. Nice move by Jordan!

Romanov wants to sweep here but Jordan controlling him for the moment.
Romanov trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Romanov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jordan trying to control the position from guard on top but Romanov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jordan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jordan works Romanov's body with a nice hook.
Jordan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Jordan lands with an uppercut that bounces Romanov off the cage and back into range.

Nice uppercut there from Jordan.
Romanov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jordan punishes Romanov's body with a nice straight punch.
Jordan sends Romanov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jordan is motioning to the referee to let Romanov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Romanov is rocked!
Romanov glances at the clock... BAM! Jordan nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Romanov crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Romanov is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edwin Jordan!
