Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Mohammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chiun Remo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamal Mohammed is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamal Mohammed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chiun Remo!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Remo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mohammed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Remo moves away.
Mohammed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mohammed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Remo.
And Remo tries to counter it with a takedown but Mohammed pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Mohammed looks to score with a jab to the body but Remo is just out of range.
A punch combination from Mohammed misses.
Mohammed misses with a double jab

and Remo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Remo.

Remo gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Remo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Remo moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Mohammed.
Mohammed tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Remo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mohammed to his feet.
Mohammed throws a hook but Remo blocks it.
Mohammed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Remo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mohammed swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Remo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Remo tightens his grip and picks Mohammed up, before dumping him to the ground. Mohammed manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mohammed working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Remo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Remo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Remo distracts Mohammed with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Remo advances to half guard.

Mohammed actively working from the bottom here.

Mohammed looking for submissions off his back.
Mohammed is breathing heavily.

Mohammed looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Remo moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Mohammed.

Remo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mohammed is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Remo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mohammed is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Remo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mohammed knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mohammed is letting Remo control him for a moment.
Mohammed tries to buck Remo off but Remo is having none of it.
Mohammed is working hard here to advance position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mohammed tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Remo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Mohammed looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chiun Remo dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Remo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mohammed's guard.

Remo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Remo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Remo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mohammed looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Remo has picked Mohammed up and slammed him! Mohammed can't keep hold of the triangle and Remo manages to pass to side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mohammed is trying to improve his position.

Remo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mohammed, who protects the arm well.

Remo is trying to get an arm triangle but Mohammed is defending well.
Remo in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Chiun Remo has got the better of the ground game so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mohammed is trying to improve his position.
Mohammed being controlled for a moment.

Remo landing a few strikes.
Mohammed tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mohammed manages to work his way to half guard, despite Remo's best efforts.

Mohammed looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Remo pushes past his half guard into mount!
Remo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mohammed is trying to escape the mount.

Remo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mohammed has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mohammed keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Remo is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Remo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Chiun Remo!
A very excited looking Chiun Remo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Jamal Mohammed had this to say: 'losses happen whatever im still going to be the best ever'.
