McNamara has chosen Massive Attack - Teardrop (House M.D.) as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Calico James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean McNamara!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNamara steps to the side to avoid the strikes from James.
McNamara misses with a wild body shot.
McNamara is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.

James closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Still in half guard, James seems content to control.

James is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McNamara defends it well.
McNamara tries to roll over but James keeps him under control.
James trying to control the pace.
McNamara should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
McNamara on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
McNamara is trying to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McNamara tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

James is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with James in particular looking to stall.

James looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNamara wants to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
James passes to full mount!
McNamara tries to reverse the position but James maintains control.
McNamara is in a horrible position here. James smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
James sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
James lands a nice shot to the head.
McNamara is trying desperately to improve position.

James is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. McNamara is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. McNamara flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. James anticipates the leg and manages to get behind McNamara and secures both hooks! This could be bad! James slips an arm under McNamara chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. James has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. James is squeezing on McNamara like an anaconda would it's prey. McNamara fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Calico James!
