Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Groves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parker Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for George Groves has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Patterson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
It looked like Groves wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Patterson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Patterson takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Patterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Patterson is trying to drag Groves to the mat but Groves just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Groves lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Patterson jumps guard and drags Groves to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Patterson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
