Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dean Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tokyo Whiteman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokyo Whiteman!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whiteman thuds his right hand into Stevens's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Stevens darts in looking for a takedown but Whiteman gets double underhooks and turns Stevens into the cage.
Stevens throws a head kick but Whiteman moves out of range.
Stevens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stevens closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Whiteman tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Whiteman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Stevens laying and praying for a moment but Whiteman takes advantage and regains half guard.
Stevens sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Whiteman defending well though.
Stevens is trying to control. Whiteman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Stevens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Whiteman controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Whiteman wants to improve his position but Stevens is controlling well.

Stevens lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Whiteman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Whiteman.
Stevens lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Stevens pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Whiteman is keeping the position for now.
Whiteman trying to keep a closed guard but Stevens is proving a slippery customer.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Whiteman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stevens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Stevens with a flurry of punches that miss.
Stevens passes into half guard.
Stevens is trying to control the action in half guard but Whiteman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Stevens passes the guard and advances to mount!

Whiteman tries to hold on but Stevens postures up.
Whiteman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stevens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Whiteman is looking to escape.
Whiteman is in all sorts of trouble here.
Stevens lands a nice shot to the head.
Stevens scoring with strikes but Whiteman is staying in there.
Whiteman tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Whiteman wants to control but Stevens is having none of it.

Whiteman is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Stevens is staying active.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stevens cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stevens lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stevens trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Stevens prevents Whiteman from getting the reversal.
Stevens raining down hammerfists from mount.

Whiteman lands with a kick to the temple. Stevens shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Whiteman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Whiteman is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Whiteman.
Stevens is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Whiteman can do to turn this around?
Stevens cracks the inside of Whiteman's front leg.
Stevens tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Whiteman is able to avoid easily.
Stevens pushes Whiteman away with a front kick.
Stevens has been working on his balance at , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Whiteman.
Whiteman throws a body punch but Stevens moves out of range.
Dean Stevens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stevens swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Whiteman.

Stevens shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Whiteman napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Whiteman tries to improve position but can't.
Stevens scores with a couple of short elbows.
Stevens tries to score with some ground and pound. Whiteman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Whiteman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Stevens's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Stevens throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Whiteman tries to roll over but Stevens keeps him under control.
Stevens wants to take a breather but Whiteman is having none of it.
Dean Stevens overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stevens slows the pace down in half guard.
Whiteman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Whiteman.
Stevens lands a couple of digs.
Whiteman controls Stevens momentarily but Stevens frees himself.
Whiteman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Whiteman trying to keep a closed guard but Stevens is proving a slippery customer.
Stevens controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Stevens throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Whiteman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stevens throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stevens misses with a head kick.
Stevens throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Whiteman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stevens throws out the jab.
Stevens cracks the inside of Whiteman's front leg.

Whiteman closes the distance and clinches.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Stevens.
Stevens looking to throw knees to the head but Whiteman is blocking nicely.
Stevens has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Whiteman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Stevens.
Whiteman avoids a wild elbow strike from Stevens.

Whiteman tries to throw a body punch but Stevens avoids it by throwing Whiteman back against the cage.
Stevens working hard to break the clinch.
Whiteman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Whiteman lands a body punch.
Whiteman goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Stevens goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Stevens is trying to maintain a safe position but Whiteman gets an underhook and turns Stevens into the cage.

Stevens tightens his grip and picks Whiteman up, before dumping him to the ground. Whiteman manages to land in guard.
Stevens wants to pass the guard but Whiteman is keeping the position.
Stevens throwing strikes but missing.

Stevens throwing strikes from guard but Whiteman blocks nicely.
Whiteman pulls Stevens in close to his closed guard and prevents Stevens from doing any damage or advancing position.
Stevens is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Whiteman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Stevens should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Whiteman has tightened it up now! Stevens should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tokyo Whiteman!
Tokyo Whiteman was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
