Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drake Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reese is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bad Boys. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Reese!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reese lands with a nice body punch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reese throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Reese is in Anderson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Anderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reese looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Anderson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Reese sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Reese wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Reese wants the takedown. Anderson is fighting it off but Reese persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Anderson's guard against the cage.
John Reese has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Anderson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Anderson tries to get out of the position.

Drake Anderson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Reese looking to sit in guard and control but Anderson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Drake Anderson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
