Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vance Burch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hawke Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawke Henry has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vance Burch's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vance Burch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hawke Henry!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henry clinches with his opponent.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Henry has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Burch clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Henry trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Burch doesn't escape.
Burch can't escape the position.
Henry doesn't have the hooks in and Burch manages to turn into his guard.
Burch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Henry is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Burch throws an elbow that misses. Henry uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Burch's guard. Nice move by Henry!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Let's hope that Henry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Burch utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Burch wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Henry is now in half guard.
Burch on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Burch is trying to control but Henry manages to pass to mount!

Burch tries to hold on but Henry pushes him away.
Henry throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henry wants to control the pace but Burch is squirming around nicely.

Henry wants to pass the guard but Burch is defending well.
Henry content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henry is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Burch avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Henry.
Henry wants to take a breather but Burch is having none of it.

Henry is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Burch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Henry.

Henry decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Henry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Henry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hawke Henry dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Burch tries to clinch up but Henry circles away and keeps his distance.

Henry takes the fight into the clinch.
Burch can't break the clinch.

Burch pulls Henry into guard.
Henry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Henry controls from within his opponent's guard.
Henry has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burch wants to control but Henry passes into side.

Henry decides to stand up, so the ref orders Burch to his feet.

Henry rushes Burch and presses him up against the cage.

Burch manages to break the clinch.
Burch avoids the head kick by Henry.
Burch moves in looking to clinch but Henry pushes him off.

Henry closes the distance and clinches.
Burch lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Burch as Henry tries to tie him up.
Burch is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Henry gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Burch has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Henry tightens his grip and picks Burch up, before dumping him to the ground. Burch manages to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Henry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Henry stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Henry gets tackled into the cage by Burch. Burch maintains the clinch.
Henry landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Henry breaks the clinch.

Burch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Henry to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Henry scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Henry showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Burch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Henry on the ground.

Henry wants to control from the top but Burch keeps moving.

Henry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Henry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Burch is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Henry wants to pass the guard but Burch is keeping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Burch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hawke Henry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Burch will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Henry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Burch, pushing him back against the cage.
Burch fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Henry gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Henry content to control rather than advance.
Henry wants to control but Burch is keeping him busy.

Henry is trying to control. Burch wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Burch makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Burch.
Henry tries to stand but Burch is controlling from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Henry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Henry closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Burch to the mat! Burch manages to get full guard.
Henry throws a big elbow that misses.

Henry slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Burch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Henry is one step ahead there.
Henry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Henry is pushing down on Burch's leg trying to pass to half guard. Burch is fighting to maintain full guard but Henry has managed to sneak the leg through.

Hawke Henry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Henry has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
