Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Walter White!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A punch combination from Matthews misses.

White shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Matthews napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Matthews is looking for a sweep.
White throws an elbow but Matthews slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matthews regains half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Matthews's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Matthews works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Matthews.
That kick from Matthews tenderised White's leg. White is trying to keep his angry face on.
White wants to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A punch combination from White misses.
Nice uppercut lands for Matthews. That snapped White's head back.
White looks to score with a jab to the body but Matthews is just out of range.
Matthews lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
White lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Clay Matthews has been cut.
Matthews throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck White on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Matthews cracks White with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
White tries to close the distance and clinch but Matthews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
White throws a lazy uppercut
and Matthews cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


White is rocked!
White tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
White is still on wobbly legs! Can Matthews finish him?
Clay Matthews is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
White walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Matthews! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clay Matthews!
A relieved looking Clay Matthews thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
