Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Russell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Mofumofuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeffrey Mofumofuko !
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mofumofuko shoots in and bounces Russell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mofumofuko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Russell's guard.

Mofumofuko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Russell is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mofumofuko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Russell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jeffrey Mofumofuko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Well Mofumofuko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
