Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Napier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Napier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimbo Slice!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napier tries to bum rush Slice with a series of wild strikes but Slice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Napier throws the left hand but Slice avoids the punch easily.
Napier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slice but Slice pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Napier gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Napier stops Slice from getting back to his feet.
Napier thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Slice on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Slice is refusing to be controlled, as Napier sits in half guard.
Napier trying to control from Slice's half guard. Slice has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Napier trying to control the position from guard on top but Slice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Napier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Slice looking for a sweep. Not yet Slice, not yet.
Napier wants to stand and escape but instead Slice has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Slice won't allow Napier to sweep him here.
Napier on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Napier tries to get out of the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Napier showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Slice.

Slice gets a clinch.
Napier tries to pull guard but Slice holds him up against the cage and eventually Napier drops back down to his feet.

Slice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Napier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slice tries to avoid it but Napier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slice to the ground. Slice escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Napier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Napier is breathing heavily.

Slice instigates a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Slice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Napier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A nice combination there by Slice.
Slice lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Slice stalks Napier and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Napier's face. Napier staggers backwards, shaken.
Napier takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Slice looks to land a combination. Napier sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Slice drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Napier is looking to reverse the position.
Napier looks to move to half guard but instead Slice has passed into mount! Damn!
Slice controlling his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Napier is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kimbo Slice dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Slice throws a head kick that Napier semi-blocks.
Slice swats away the attempt to clinch by Napier.
Napier tries for a takedown but Slice circles away easily
and Slice counters with a one-two to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Slice.
Slice misses with a jab, cross combination.
Slice cracks the inside of Napier's front leg.
Slice lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Napier doesn't manage to clinch there - Slice circles away.

Slice has Napier up against the cage in a clinch.

Slice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Slice clinches.

Slice manages to break the clinch.
Slice scores with a one two! Napier had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Napier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slice as he avoids it easily.
Kimbo Slice seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Slice throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Slice gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Slice breaks the clinch.
Napier takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Napier is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Slice.
Slice's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Slice duly obliges.
Napier is looking to clinch.
Slice lands with a nice combination. Napier backs away looking to recover.
Slice throws a combination. Napier tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Napier on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Slice. Slice obviously looking to wear him down.
Slice throws a right and a left that both miss.
A right-left combo lands from Slice.
Napier fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Napier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Napier avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slice looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Nice takedown defense from Slice. No joy for Napier on that attempt.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Napier tries to keep at a distance but Slice has taken the fight into the clinch.

Slice breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Slice misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice sprawl there from Slice as Napier shoots in.
Napier fails with an attempt to clinch.
Slice punishes Napier's body with a nice straight punch.
Napier moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Napier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Slice counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Napier throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Slice counters with a one-two to the body.
Napier avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slice doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Napier counters with a single leg into guard. Slice didn't expect that.
Napier is looking to work some ground and pound but Slice has wrist control.
Napier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Napier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kimbo Slice showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Slice lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slice.
Napier throws a series of punches but Slice moves out of range.
Napier shoots for a double leg takedown but Slice sprawls well. He's pushed Napier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Slice misses with a double jab
and Napier counters with a nice uppercut.
Napier takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Slice throws a combination. Napier tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Slice throws a left and a right that both miss
and Napier counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Slice works over Napier's head and body with a nice combination.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Slice, right into the meat.
Slice throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Napier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slice but Slice pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Slice is working the combinations to good effect here.

Slice decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Napier is looking for a sweep. Slice is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Napier is working hard here to advance position.
Napier is trying to maintain the position but Slice is very close to passing his half guard.
Napier wants to get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Slice takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kimbo Slice is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kimbo Slice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Slice winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
