Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vaimaa Fatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Piras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatu comes to the cage accompanied by So Close Now. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piras feints a jab promting Fatu to slip. Piras then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fatu slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fatu wants to get up but he can't break Piras's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Fatu trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Piras lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Fatu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Piras is aware though and is defending well.

Fatu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Piras doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Piras manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Piras drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Piras jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Piras has gone for a leg lock! Fatu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Piras's guard.
Fatu has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Piras has his foot on Fatu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fatu works his way back into a safe position though.
