Alvares comes to the cage accompanied by The Wild Boys. Jackson has chosen The Beatles - Get Back as his entrance music. Thiago Alvares has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to clinch but Alvares moves out of range.

Jackson feints and as Alvares raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Alvares feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jackson has control of Alvares's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alvares regains control of the situation pretty easily.
