Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Dettman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for William Dettman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Dettman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Robbins!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robbins tries to bum rush Dettman with a series of wild strikes but Dettman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Robbins misses with a low kick.
Dettman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Robbins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dettman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Robbins wanted to stand there but Dettman had control of the position.
Robbins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dettman is trying to keep Robbins in close.

Robbins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Robbins throws a head kick that misses.
Dettman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dettman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Robbins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dettman can't do much from the bottom here.

Robbins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dettman, who protects the arm well.
Robbins wants to stand but Dettman is controlling his arm.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Robbins is staying tight to Dettman's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Robbins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dettman keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Robbins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dettman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Robbins with the counter takedown but Dettman avoids it easily.
Robbins's coach down at Cheap Elites! Golden Eye Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Robbins's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Dettman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dettman wants it to stay on the feet.
Robbins misses with an attempted mid kick.
Robbins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Dettman gets tackled into the cage by Robbins. Robbins maintains the clinch.
Dettman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Robbins pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Dettman keeps control of Robbins as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Robbins has Dettman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dettman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
William Dettman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Robbins.

A frustrated look appears on Robbins's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Dettman lands a body punch.
Robbins tries to break free but Dettman pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Dettman throws a quick inside leg kick.

Robbins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dettman was covering up waiting for the punch and Robbins finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Robbins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dettman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Robbins wants to pass the guard but Dettman is keeping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Robbins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Robbins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dettman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Robbins is in Dettman's guard.

Robbins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Dettman is looking for a triangle here but Robbins uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Dettman takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Robbins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dettman keeps working.
Robbins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dylan Robbins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Robbins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dettman is refusing to be controlled, as Robbins sits in half guard.
Robbins moves into full mount! Dettman won't be happy about that!
Dettman is squirming around, avoiding Robbins's attempts to control the action.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Robbins has control of Dettman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dettman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dettman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Robbins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dettman is looking to escape.

Robbins wants to finish this one by submission but Dettman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Robbins.

Dettman takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Robbins is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dettman is surviving well by controlling Robbins's body position as best he can.
Dettman wants to hold on but Robbins pushes him away.
Robbins scores with a couple of good head shots there.


Dettman is rocked!

Robbins has isolated one of Dettman's arms. Dettman looking to fight him off but Robbins twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
