Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kanye West - Stronger. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws the kick towards the body but Carlson avoids it.
Gracie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Carlson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Carlson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Gracie misses with a kick to the body.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carlson as he avoids it easily.

Carlson cracks Gracie with a good jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carlson lands a two punch combo.
Carlson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Carlson connects with a right hand. Gracie shakes it off.

Carlson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gracie's head backwards.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carlson throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease.
Carlson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Carlson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Carlson's coach down at Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Carlson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Gracie shoots and misses
enabling Carlson to counter with a crisp jab.

Gracie is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Carlson drops Gracie with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gracie looks back up at him and smiles so Carlson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Carlson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gracie seems to have got his legs back now.
Gracie throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A nice side step and Carlson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Carlson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A jab from Carlson does it's job there.
Carlson catches Gracie with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Gracie forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
