Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuri Boyka!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spongiform shoots and misses
and Boyka counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Bovine Spongiform has been cut.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Boyka.
Spongiform takes a swing at Boyka's ribcage but misses.
Boyka looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Spongiform misses with a hook.
Spongiform fails with the takedown
and Boyka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Spongiform fails to land the takedown.
As Spongiform backs off Boyka throws a huge counter combo but Spongiform manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bovine Spongiform. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boyka shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Spongiform napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Boyka stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Spongiform tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boyka swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice sprawl there from Boyka as Spongiform shoots in.

Spongiform tries for a takedown but Boyka circles away easily
and Boyka counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boyka gets a clinch.
Spongiform tries to pull guard but Boyka holds him up against the cage and eventually Spongiform drops back down to his feet.
Boyka manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Spongiform throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyka is controlling Spongiform's posture.
Spongiform scoring with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spongiform wants to control from the top but Boyka keeps moving.
Spongiform prevents Boyka from getting back to his feet.
Boyka pulls Spongiform in close to prevent any damage.
Spongiform is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Spongiform lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Boyka keeping moving, preventing Spongiform from controlling successfully.

Spongiform drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spongiform jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Spongiform throws a big right hand that misses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boyka can do anything to dispel that myth.
Spongiform trying to control but Boyka is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boyka moves into range and clinches up with Spongiform.
Spongiform jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boyka walks away with a smile on his face. Spongiform gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Boyka misses with a low kick as Spongiform jumps back.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Spongiform.
Spongiform closes the distance and clinches up with Boyka, looking for a takedown. Spongiform pushes Boyka against the cage but Boyka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Boyka is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

and Boyka counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bovine Spongiform's cut is getting worse.
Spongiform swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Spongiform throws a predictable looking body shot
and Boyka counters with a shoot takedown. Spongiform fights it but they end up in guard.
Spongiform has his feet on Boyka's thighs here. He's pushed Boyka off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Boyka screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
