Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Cardenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Bolick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Cardenas has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Bolick!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardenas blocks a head kick by Bolick.
Cardenas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cardenas is defended easily by Bolick.
Bolick stuffs the takedown.
Bolick throws a leg kick but Cardenas checks it.
Bolick misses with a series of wild punches.

Cardenas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bolick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Nice takedown defense from Cardenas. No joy for Bolick on that attempt.

Bolick decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bolick swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cardenas is now in Bolick's guard. A big mistake from Bolick there, giving up the dominant position!

Cardenas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bolick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cardenas doesn't seem bothered though.

Well Bolick has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
