Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elwood Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Cayman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elwood Hester has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elwood Hester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Cayman!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cayman throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hester appears to be looking for a big counter.
Hester misses with a wild combination.

Cayman instigates a clinch.
Hester drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cayman gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cayman cracks Hester with a nice body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cayman has Hester pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cayman pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hester tumbling to the mat - Cayman dives into Hester's guard.

Hester has a closed guard, preventing Cayman from standing up.
Hester is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cayman passes into half guard.
Cayman slows the pace down in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cayman is pressing down on Hester's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hester is holding on for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Cayman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hester manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cayman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hester might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cayman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cayman tries to stand but Hester is controlling from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cayman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cayman showed some decent athleticism there.
Cayman wants to stand up but Hester manages to regain full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Cayman dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Cayman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hester prevents Cayman from moving into mount.

Cayman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cayman moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cayman working the body and head with strikes.
Cayman tries to get to his feet but Hester is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Cayman in his guard.
Cayman distracts Hester with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Cayman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hester not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cayman passes Hester's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Cayman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hester keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cayman is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cayman landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
It looks like Cayman is going to stand back up.
Cayman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Cayman gets the takedown into side control.
Hester could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cayman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Cayman cracks Hester with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Cayman immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Hester is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Cayman!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Cayman!
