Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vance Burch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Green is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vance Burch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Green!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Burch sprawls well initially but Green persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Green trying to control the pace.
Green prevents Burch from improving his position.
Green content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Burch is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burch is trying to control but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burch avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Green.

Green is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Burch sees it coming and defends easily.

Green decides to return to a standing position.
Burch tries to close the distance and clinch but Green swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Green is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Green manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Burch on his heels. He'll look to pass Burch's guard now, I'm sure.
Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Burch wants to control the position but Green says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burch's head.
Burch wants to control but Green is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Green wants to take a breather but Burch is having none of it.

Green is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Burch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Green wants to control but Burch is keeping him busy.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Burch wants to improve his position but Green is controlling well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Green shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burch napping and manages to drive through into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Green creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Burch sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Green stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Green throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Burch tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Green is in Burch's guard.
Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Green postures up in Burch's guard and throws a big left but Burch blocks it.
Green is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Green trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Burch manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Green trying to keep a closed guard but Burch is proving a slippery customer.

Burch throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Burch throws a strike but Green rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Green drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Burch dives on top into guard.

Burch scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Burch landing some decent shots from guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Green avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Burch lands a couple of decent looking shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Burch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Burch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Green breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burch tries to close the distance and clinch but Green swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Green shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Burch trying to control but Green postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Green performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Green has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Green is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Burch wants to control but Green is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Green slows the pace down in half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Burch wants to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Green lands a head kick. Burch smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Burch tries to close the distance and clinch but Green swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Green scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Burch stops Green from passing to mount.
Burch tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Green tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Green has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Burch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Green wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Green wants to control but Burch is keeping him busy.
Burch holds on to Green's head and controls the position momentarily.
Burch is looking for a sweep.
Green just content to control the position.
Green advances to full mount.
Burch tries to reverse the position but Green maintains control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Green controlling the pace for now.

Green stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Burch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Green closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Burch wants to control but Green postures up.

Green wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Burch, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Burch gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Burch has his hands on Green's head, controlling the position.
Burch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Burch holds on and takes a little breather.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Burch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Green engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Burch gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Burch breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Green closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Burch to the mat! Burch manages to get full guard.
Green wants to control from the top but Burch keeps moving.
Burch looking to control but Green passes into half guard.
Green slows the pace down in half guard.

Green escapes and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Green drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee asks Green politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Green prefers to stall for the moment though.

Green stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Burch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Green swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Burch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Green drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Green won't allow Burch to sweep him here.
Burch is trying to keep Green in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Green decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Burch, up you get!

Burch can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Green controls the pace.
Green is continuing to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Joe Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Green winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
