PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Rainey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ohm Melet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melet has chosen partingtime as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ohm Melet!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Melet drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rainey looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Melet is pushing down on Rainey's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rainey is fighting to maintain full guard but Melet has managed to sneak the leg through.
Melet thows a huge punch but Rainey dodges it nicely.
Rainey is looking to improve his position.

Melet postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Rainey to stand up.

Melet shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rainey napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Melet lands a few punches from side control.

Melet thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Melet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rainey keeps working.
Melet throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Rainey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Melet is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rainey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Melet controls the position.
Melet's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Melet has an Americana. Rainey didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Melet is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Melet hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ohm Melet looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'who's your daddy now?'.
