Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eysteinn Thornsteisson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samo Hajduk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samo Hajduk will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thornsteisson takes a swing at Hajduk's ribcage but misses.
Thornsteisson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hajduk.

Hajduk tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Thornsteisson defends well and Hajduk ends up having to push Thornsteisson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Thornsteisson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hajduk has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hajduk and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Thornsteisson gets control of Hajduk's arms and successfully pulls guard. Thornsteisson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hajduk throws an elbow that misses. Thornsteisson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hajduk's guard. Nice move by Thornsteisson!

Thornsteisson has hold of Hajduk's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hajduk manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hajduk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Thornsteisson has control of Hajduk's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hajduk regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Thornsteisson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
