Alves comes to the ring accompanied by Sick Puppies - You're Going Down. Piper has chosen Ride Out-Kid Ink, Tyga as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genesis Piper!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Piper lands a jab to Alves's midsection.
Alves misses with a series of wild punches.
Alves looks to land a left hand but Piper moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Piper throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Alves half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Piper lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Alves ducks under a wild hook from Piper.
Alves is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Piper misses with an uppercut.
Alves avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Piper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alves.
Piper throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alves appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Piper scores with a hook to the body. Alves takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alves takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Piper smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Piper misses with a body shot.

Alves uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Piper.
Alves throws a low kick but it's checked well by Piper.
Horrible takedown attempt by Alves or perhaps it was just good defense by Piper, which made it look bad.
Piper feints the counter takedown.
Piper throws out a loose jab but Alves uses good head movement to avoid it.
Piper throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Alves on the side of the head.

Alves is rocked!
Alves is holding his hands too far apart here. Piper throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Alves is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Genesis Piper!
