Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Cooper has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerry Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cooper swivels and escapes.
Cooper wants to clinch up but Brewer keeps it at a distance.
A swing and a miss from Brewer.
A combination from Brewer does no damage.
Brewer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cooper's waist but Cooper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brewer off to one side.
Brewer throws a series of punches but Cooper moves out of range.
A jab from Brewer misses.

Brewer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Brewer landing a few strikes.

Cooper throws Brewer to one side and escapes!
Brewer misses with a body shot.
Cooper loads up on a big right hand but Brewer slips the punch.
Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brewer circles away quickly and effectively.

Cooper looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Brewer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cooper pinned against the cage. Cooper gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Cooper wants to stand but Brewer has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Brewer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Brewer throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Cooper decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brewer, up you get!

Cooper throws an overhand right that lands on Brewer's shoulder, as Brewer tries to avoid the shot.
Cooper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brewer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Brewer misses with a wild combination.
Cooper throws a shot from downtown. Brewer moves away and avoids it.
Brewer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brewer fails to land with a series of punches.
Brewer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cooper throws a head kick that misses.
Brewer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Brewer lands with a shot to the body.

Cooper closes the distance and clinches.
Brewer prevents Cooper from breaking the clinch.

Cooper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brewer throws a left and a right that both miss

and Cooper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brewer's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brewer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A slow jab from Brewer misses its intended target.
Brewer waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Cooper.
Cooper tries to close the distance and clinch but Brewer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cooper is breathing heavily.

Cooper takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cooper looks for the body kick but Brewer saw that one coming.

Brewer scores with a takedown into Cooper's guard.

Cooper pushes Brewer off and gets back to his feet.
Brewer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cooper was well out of range. Poor timing from Brewer.

Brewer lands a nice hook to Cooper's body. Cooper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Brewer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cooper uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brewer.
Cooper scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brewer doesn't seem bothered though.

Brewer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cooper with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cooper moves out of range as Brewer strikes.
Cooper takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Brewer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cooper pinned against the cage. Cooper gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Brewer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Brewer on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerry Brewer dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Cooper is looking to stand up but Brewer isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brewer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cooper counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cooper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cooper uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brewer.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cooper lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brewer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brewer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Brewer cracks Cooper with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A telegraphed right hand from Cooper misses the target.
No joy there for Brewer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brewer drops his hands momentarily and Cooper takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Cooper counters with a left to the body.

Brewer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brewer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cooper swivels and escapes.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Cooper counters with a single leg into guard. Brewer didn't expect that.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cooper wants to stand and escape but instead Brewer has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jack Cooper.
I think Cooper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
