Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikel Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mikel Machida was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida staying out of range there.
Gracie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Machida shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
Horrible takedown by Machida or perhaps it was just good defense by Gracie which made him look bad.
Rolando Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikel Machida.
Gracie throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Gracie. No joy for Machida on that attempt.

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Machida is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gracie has hold of Machida's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Machida tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Machida screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Machida, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
