Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hermio Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Bandridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bandridge comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 6 pack of beer- Hank 3 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandridge misses with a straight right.
Junior shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bandridge's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Junior gets to his feet - Bandridge follows without any prompting.
Hermio Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bandridge bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Junior's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Junior manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Bandridge is trying to force a seperation but Junior has the dominant position.

Junior keeps control of Bandridge as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Junior can't find room to land a body shot as Bandridge controls the action.

I was talking to Junior's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Junior tries to work over Bandridge's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Junior breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bandridge throws a hook to the side of Junior's head but Junior sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A little feinted left hand from Junior on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Junior.
Bandridge keeps the fight on the outside.
Bandridge tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Junior was well out of range. Poor timing from Bandridge.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short body shot lands from Junior as the two fighters clinch.

Bandridge's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Junior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bandridge tries to avoid it but Junior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bandridge to the ground. Bandridge escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Junior tries for a takedown but Bandridge sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Brad Bandridge is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Junior tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bandridge paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bandridge lands a jab to the head.
Junior fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bandridge, pushing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Junior shoots in looking for a takedown. Bandridge tries to sprawl out of it but Junior keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bandridge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As Junior backs off Bandridge throws a huge counter combo but Junior manages to avoid it all.
Bandridge lands with an uppercut that bounces Junior off the cage and back into range.
Bandridge's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bandridge duly obliges.
Junior throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Junior wants to clinch up but Bandridge keeps it at a distance.

Bandridge fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Junior tries to clinch up.
Bandridge rushes Junior with punches - Junior moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Junior goes down! Bandridge follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brad Bandridge!
