Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julito Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julito Santos!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Jacobs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Santos tries to clinch but Jacobs is having none of it.
Santos tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jacobs defends well and Santos ends up having to push Jacobs into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Jacobs drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs is staying tight to Santos's torso, preventing him from escaping.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jacobs working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Santos looks to move to half guard but instead Jacobs has passed into mount! Damn!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos throws out a leg kick but Jacobs moves out of range and Santos only half commits.
Jacobs defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santos.

Santos tries to clinch but Jacobs is having none of it.
Alex Jacobs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Santos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jacobs after a bit of a struggle.

Santos throws an elbow that misses. Jacobs uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Santos's guard. Nice move by Jacobs!

Jacobs slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Alex Jacobs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jacobs tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jacobs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Santos is working to get back to half guard.

Jacobs stands up from mount. Strange move.
Jacobs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but Jacobs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Santos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Santos fails with a takedown attempt.
Jacobs tries to counter by clinching up but Santos breaks away and moves out of range.
Jacobs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Santos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jacobs but Jacobs pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jacobs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jacobs is pressed up against the cage. Santos has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jacobs down to the mat. Jacobs avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jacobs has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Santos has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jacobs paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Santos just misses with a punch to the body.
Jacobs is looking to counter the offense by Santos and move into the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jacobs or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos, which made it look bad.
