Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nokautov throws a predictable looking body shot
and Stanton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nokautov lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Modesto Stanton has been cut.
Nokautov lands a head shot.
Stanton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nokautov throws a body punch but Stanton moves out of range.
Stanton was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nokautov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Stanton counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Stanton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nokautov.
Stanton gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nokautov throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Nokautov using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Stanton has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stanton jumps guard and drags Nokautov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stanton lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Stanton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stanton lands a couple of digs.
Stanton is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nokautov looking to control but Stanton passes into half guard.

Stanton moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Nokautov.
Stanton scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nokautov to see if he's OK.

Stanton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Stanton lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nokautov down.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stanton lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Stanton cracks Nokautov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Stanton lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nokautov thuds his right hand into Stanton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A cross from Nokautov lands.
Vitali Nokautov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nokautov lands a big uppercut and Stanton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Stanton looks OK. Nokautov waves Stanton back to his feet!
Stanton is rocked!
Stanton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Oh Stanton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nokautov is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Stanton flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Stanton is out cold! Nokautov holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vitali Nokautov!
