PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Bungy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ron Green told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ron Green!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Watson and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bungy is trying to defend but Green finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Green throwing shots but Bungy is blocking nicely.
Bungy is looking to control Green's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bungy avoid being mounted?
Green looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Green tries to pass to full mount but Bungy defends it.

Green throws a right hand that Bungy ducks under and follows up with a left that Bungy also avoids with ease.
Green moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Green, as that shot connected.

Bungy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Green tries to avoid it but Bungy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Green to the ground. Green escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well Green has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
