The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lukazawich can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lukazawich has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gradkowski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lukazawich.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lukazawich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gradkowski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gradkowski is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Lukazawich is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Lukazawich flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gradkowski anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Lukazawich and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gradkowski slips an arm under Lukazawich chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gradkowski has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gradkowski is squeezing on Lukazawich like an anaconda would it's prey. Lukazawich fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
