The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner lands with a nice body punch.
Gardner staying out of range there.
A jab from Gardner finds it's way through Malek's defenses.
Gardner lands a front kick.
Gardner stuns Malek with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Malek avoids the body shot from Gardner.
Malek looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Malek ducks under a wild hook from Gardner.
Gardner thuds his right hand into Malek's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gardner misses with a jab to the body
and Gardner takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Malek lands with a cross.
A telegraphed right hand from Gardner misses the target.
Malek wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Gardner tries to land a front kick but Malek steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Malek takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gardner fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gardner. Malek does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gardner lands a nice looking kick to the body. Malek takes a step back to recover.
Gardner is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Malek rather than just go for the knockout.

Gardner tries to work over Malek's front leg with a kick but Malek checks it.

It looks like Josh Gardner has been cut.
Malek connects with a knee right up the middle! Gardner tumbles to the floor and Malek stands over him, dominant and satisfied with his glorious KO victory!
