Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Renner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Enrico Ciccone!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renner slips under a jab.
Ciccone throws out a loose jab but Renner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ciccone shoots for a takedown but Renner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Renner appears to be looking for a big counter.
Renner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ciccone circles away quickly and effectively.
Ciccone misses with a looping right.
Ciccone gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A swing and a miss from Ciccone.
Renner misses with a wild body shot.
Ciccone is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Renner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ciccone throws a shot from downtown. Renner moves away and avoids it.

and Renner counters with a series of strikes. Ciccone will be more careful next time no doubt.
Renner avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Renner has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ciccone clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Renner is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Ciccone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Renner is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Renner controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Ciccone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Renner manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeremy Renner will probably get the nod.

Ciccone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Renner is fending him off so far but Ciccone persists. Nope, Renner circles away and we're back to standing.

Renner seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Ciccone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Renner as he jumps to the side.

Ciccone takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Ciccone controls Renner momentarily but Renner frees himself.

Renner gets to his feet. Ciccone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Renner throws a series of punches but Ciccone avoids them all with ease.

and Renner counters with a low kick, right behind Ciccone 's knee.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Renner leaves Ciccone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Renner takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ciccone's coach down at Warrior Dogs was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ciccone's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Renner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Renner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ciccone shoots in looking for a takedown but Renner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ciccone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Renner has control of Ciccone's left arm, preventing Ciccone from doing any damage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Renner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
