Maruska lands a lovely overhand right.
Maruska works Akiyama's body with a nice hook.
Akiyama throws a hook to the side of Maruska's head but Maruska sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Akiyama thumps Maruska with a low kick.
Maruska fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Akiyama keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maruska throws a lazy right hand but Akiyama sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Maruska avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maruska misses with a wild body shot.
Maruska misses the shot to the body.
Akiyama throws a big shot that misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Akiyama misses the target.
Maruska lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Maruska scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Maruska throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Akiyama takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Akiyama is breathing heavily.

Oooooh!!! Maruska has knocked Akiyama down with a huge combo! Maruska steps away and waves a wobbly Akiyama back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Akira Akiyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maruska connects with a stiff jab that staggers Akiyama - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
