The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oshima fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parnell, pushing him back against the cage.
Oshima's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Parnell connects with a knee to the head.
Parnell avoiding damage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Oshima as Parnell tries to tie him up.
Still in the clinch, Parnell scores with a nice short uppercut.

Parnell breaks the clinch.
Parnell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Parnell misses with the combination.
Oshima throws a counter combo.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Oshima.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bone on bone clash there as Oshima blocks the leg kick.
Parnell misses with a wild body shot.

Parnell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Parnell motions for Oshima to come forward. Parnell throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Parnell throws a nice outside leg kick.
Parnell has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Parnell fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Oshima has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Parnell lands with a cross.
Oshima gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Parnell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oshima is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Oshima throws a leg kick but Parnell sees it coming and moves out of range.
Parnell connects with a looping right hand.

Oshima is rocked!
Parnell drops Oshima with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Oshima! Parnell dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
