PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Geralt Riv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Sabando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Sabando told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Geralt Riv!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Sabando!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riv steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sabando. That one must have hurt.
Sabando scores with a nice body kick.
Riv tries to clinch up but Sabando circles away and keeps his distance.
Sabando will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Riv takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Riv on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Riv is breathing heavily.

Sabando lands a front kick to the face, that drops Riv to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!

It looks like Geralt Riv has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Riv tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sabando swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sabando was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Riv looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sabando throws a nice outside leg kick.

Sabando lands a front kick to the face, that drops Riv to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!

Sabando thows a body kick. Riv tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Sabando throws a head kick that misses.
As Sabando tries to get set, Riv tries to push him back and clinch up but Sabando manages to avoid the attempt.
Sabando explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Sabando! This one is all over!
