Makaaja comes to the cage accompanied by BassLovers United - I Can't Dance. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tyson is defended easily by Makaaja.
Tyson dives in and grabs Makaaja's left leg, looking for a takedown. Makaaja pushes down on Tyson's head and hops out.

Tyson tries to sprawl but Makaaja drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Makaaja is thwarting Tyson's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson wants to get back to full guard.
Tyson is looking to control Makaaja's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tyson avoid being mounted?
Tyson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Makaaja tries for a kimura but Tyson is defending well.

Makaaja is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tyson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Makaaja is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tyson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We've been hearing good reports from Makaaja's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Makaaja tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Makaaja has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Makaaja has hold of Tyson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Tyson seems comfortable defending it but Makaaja has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Tyson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Tyson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Makaaja couldn't care less - he's delighted!
