The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Rojas stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Thompson follows into mount!

It looks like Wyatt Rojas has been cut.

Thompson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rojas is surviving well by controlling Thompson's body position as best he can.
Thompson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rojas wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Thompson celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
