The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benavidez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Benavidez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Benavidez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robertson tries to clinch up but Benavidez circles away and keeps his distance.
Benavidez misses the shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Robertson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Benavidez sends Robertson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Benavidez is motioning to the referee to let Robertson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Robertson is rocked!
Benavidez looks to score with a jab to the body but Robertson is just out of range.
Oh Robertson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Robertson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Robertson seems to have got his legs back now.
Benavidez moves forwards but Robertson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Benavidez misses with a head kick.
Robertson walks into a straight right hand from Benavidez.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Benavidez lands a huge takedown. Robertson is out but the ref is slow to react and Benavidez lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Robertson lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
