The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mafarrico shoots in for a double leg but MonRoe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
MonRoe lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Ivo Mafarrico has been cut.
MonRoe lands with a thumping leg kick.
MonRoe throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Mafarrico rushes MonRoe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
MonRoe leaning against his opponent.
Mafarrico jumps guard but MonRoe stands there with Mafarrico around his waist. Mafarrico gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

MonRoe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
MonRoe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mafarrico gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Mafarrico throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mafarrico.

Mafarrico shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MonRoe as he avoids it easily.
Mafarrico throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around MonRoe's waist but MonRoe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mafarrico off to one side.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mafarrico. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A solid leg kick lands there for MonRoe.
MonRoe lands a jab to Mafarrico's midsection.
