The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie has taken the fight to the clinch.
Vasilevskiy digs a right hand underneath Gracie's ribcage. Gracie let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Vasilevskiy forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gracie goes for a takedown attempt but Vasilevskiy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Vasilevskiy connects with a body shot that sends Gracie's belly button to the back.
Vyacheslav Vasilevskiy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vasilevskiy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've been hearing reports that Gracie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
A clash of legs there as Gracie blocks the low kick.
Vasilevskiy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Helio Gracie has been cut.

Gracie tries to clinch but Vasilevskiy is having none of it.
Vasilevskiy scores with a jab. Gracie acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Vasilevskiy connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Vasilevskiy is looking to chop away at Gracie's legs.
Vasilevskiy lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Gracie falls backwards - clearly groggy! Vasilevskiy dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

In his post fight interview, Vyacheslav Vasilevskiy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
