Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Robbins!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robbins throws a lazy head kick

and Cruz counters with a single leg into guard. Robbins didn't expect that.
Robbins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cruz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Robbins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cruz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Robbins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cruz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Cruz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Robbins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Robbins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Robbins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cruz keeps working.

Robbins tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cruz controls his leg.
Robbins is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Robbins is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Robbins wants to control but Cruz is keeping him busy.
Cruz tries to roll over but Robbins keeps him under control.
Robbins is keen to just control but Cruz is a slippery customer.
Robbins is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cruz!
Cruz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Cruz is in a horrible position here. Robbins smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Robbins lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cruz tries to lock up and control but Robbins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cruz defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Robbins.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Robbins avoids the attempt from Cruz to control.

Dylan Robbins dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Nice takedown defense from Robbins. No joy for Cruz on that attempt.
Robbins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Cruz is working for a kimura but Robbins is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Robbins has control of Cruz's left arm, preventing Cruz from doing any damage.

It looked like Cruz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Robbins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cruz is aware though and is defending well.
