PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ike Nuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sato comes to the ring accompanied by Kodo Drums. On his way into the ring it seems that Hideo Sato has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hideo Sato seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato shoots in looking for a takedown but Nuts manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sato's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nuts enables Sato to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nuts manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Nuts is working an open guard so Sato takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nuts lands a body shot.
Nuts just misses with a punch to the body.
Sato wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Nuts dives in and scores a takedown into Sato's guard.
Sato wants to sweep but no luck.
Sato seems keen to control Nuts's posture.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sato is on top in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sato loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sato's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Sato works over Nuts with some ground and pound from guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nuts controls Sato momentarily but Sato frees himself.
Sato content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sato not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Sato pushes down on Nuts's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sato slips a nice elbow through Nuts's hands, connecting with Nuts's forehead.
Sato content to control rather than advance.

Sato has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nuts defend it? Sato steps over the head and cranks it - Nuts is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sato!
