The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaid misses the shot to the body.
Quaid throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jenova stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jenova wants to clinch.
Quaid looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Quaid blocks a leg kick.
Quaid throws a shot from downtown. Jenova moves away and avoids it.
Quaid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenova manages to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Jenova counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

A little feinted left hand from Jenova on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Jenova is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Quaid avoids a punch combination nicely.
Quaid with the counter takedown but Jenova avoids it easily.

Quaid bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Quaid is looking to take a break and control but Jenova is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Quaid lands a few punches from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Douglas Quaid will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jenova, right into the meat.
Quaid connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jenova momentarily.

Jenova is rocked!
Quaid takes a swing at Jenova's ribcage but misses.
Oh Jenova is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jenova throws a looping overhand right but Quaid ducks down to avoid it.
