Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between What Shall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Williamson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williamson has chosen Iggy Pop - Lust For Life as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Williamson. Those never looked like landing.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Williamson stalks Shall and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shall's face. Shall staggers backwards, shaken.
Shall throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Williamson to counter with a crisp jab.
Shall lands with an uppercut that bounces Williamson off the cage and back into range.
Shall cracks the inside of Williamson's front leg.
Williamson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shall.
Shall bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Williamson gets the takedown into side control.
Shall is not content to let Williamson control the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Shall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Williamson pulls his head out easily.

That was a close round but I would say that What Shall will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Williamson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

No joy there for Williamson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

What Shall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Williamson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've been told by Shall's head coaches at F U that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Williamson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Some bone on bone action there as Williamson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

As Williamson tries to get set, Shall tries to push him back and clinch up but Williamson manages to avoid the attempt.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Shall, as that shot connected.

Williamson has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Shall.
Shall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williamson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shall somewhat.

Shall lets loose with a powerful body kick. Williamson will feel that in the morning.
