PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darron Snider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snider connects with an inside leg kick.

Snider gets tackled into the cage by Bourne. Bourne maintains the clinch.

Snider is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bourne utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snider is fighting to break Bourne's control of his arms but Bourne is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Snider stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bourne swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bourne shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Snider napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bourne makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bourne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Snider does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jason Bourne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Snider changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bourne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jason Bourne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Snider is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bourne is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Let's hope that Bourne has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jason Bourne is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Snider escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bourne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jason Bourne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bourne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
